Hannah Maria Ziyuan Exsted

What a day!!

As I am typing this blog post tonight, Jen is putting every bow and barrette into Hannah's hair. We have been so blessed. Hannah has adjusted so well to us. She is calling us mama, baba, she has learned to give high fives and cheers at dinner. She puts the phone up to her ear and says hello. And she even can identify Elmo. Amazing!! She is very receptive to our language and speaks Chinese to us all day. We think she was even singing a song tonight when we were walking the neighborhood. We looked through the photo album of our family that we brought and she was saying and pointing to mama and baba, but even more excitingly she saw a picture of Caedon and leaned into the picture to kiss him. We have felt all your prayers in so many ways. Thank you to all those faithfully praying our journey.

We are going to only post a couple pictures tonight because we want time to process this amazing event and a start to our journey together. Plus, we are completely exhausted and I can't write anymore tonight.

  5. Congratulations, Exsteds! And now you are five! Watching your journey unfold brings back so many happy memories. Enjoy your days together in China and just drink in as many of the sights and sounds and tastes and smells as you can as you will always remember these days in Hannah's birthcountry so very fondly!
